This original 9x12” pencil sketch of Red Sonja was posted a couple weeks ago. The winning bid was secured and sketch was shipped out. Once received, the winner remarked that there was a stain on it and he wanted a refund. I told him that it was actually my blood. To put it in context, after hours and days of drawing and painting, it’s easy to rub a raw section of skin on the bottom of my little finger from dragging it across the surface all the time. Unfortunately a few specs of blood landed on the sketch. I forgot to include this tidbit in my description as it happens often enough that I just forgot about it. He still wanted a refund which I was happy to oblige. I’m posting it again here and have included a pic w/ the stain (as tiny as they are). So don’t think of it as a stain but as the ultimate Certificate of Authenticity. You can forge a signature, but not DNA.
