Deadshot Original Art

Floyd Lawton, Deadshot, is the world's greatest marksman. "I never miss." Visually, his red jumpsuit and wrist-mounted guns are iconic, as is his targeting monocle. He is the anchor of the Suicide Squad. Artists love drawing the ricochet shots and the perspective tricks involved in his marksmanship.

Originally a tuxedo-wearing villain, his modern look was defined by Marshall Rogers and later refined in the Ostrander Suicide Squad run. He brings a noir, western vibe to modern comics—a man with a death wish who happens to be an assassin. Splash pages of him firing his wrist-magnums are top-tier action art.

He has a long history with Batman, but his relationships within the Squad—especially with Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn—are central to his characters. He is often portrayed as the sympathetic villain.
