Hercules Original Art - Page 2

Hercules (Heracles) in the DC Universe is a complex figure—sometimes a hero, sometimes a villain who enslaved the Amazons. He is the demigod son of Zeus. Visually, he is the archetype of the strongman—lion skin, club, beard.

His past trauma with Hippolyta defines much of the Amazonian history. In modern comics, he often appears as a boisterous ally or a wandering hero seeking redemption. He bridges the gap between Greek Myth and superheroics. (Note: Marvel also has a famous Hercules; the context here with Wonder Woman suggests the DC version).
