Kitty Pryde Original Art

Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat/Kate Pryde) is the viewpoint character for generations of X-Men fans. Starting as the "kid sister" sprite, she evolved into a ninja, a leader, and a pirate queen. Her power to phase through solid objects is used creatively by artists (disrupting electronics, walking on air).

Her relationship with Colossus and her pet dragon Lockheed are staples. Joss Whedon's run proved she is a powerhouse (phasing a giant bullet through Earth). As the leader of the Marauders (pirate team), she wears a red coat and sails the seas, showcasing her growth from student to captain.
