Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Original Art - Page 16

The world's most fearsome fighting team. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) started as a gritty, black-and-white indie comic by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Original art from the Mirage Studios era is incredibly valuable, featuring violent action and a darker tone than the cartoons. Each turtle wears a red bandana in the original comics, making them distinguishable only by their weapons.

Leonardo (Leader, Katana), Donatello (Tech, Bo Staff), Raphael (Muscle, Sais), and Michelangelo (Party dude, Nunchucks). Artists love drawing the texture of their shells and the fluidity of their ninja movements. The IDW run has introduced new mythology, making modern pages highly collectible as well.

They fight the Foot Clan and Shredder. Their father figure is Splinter. They are aided by April O'Neil and Casey Jones.
