Vampirella is a horror icon and a bad-girl art staple. She was the star of Warren Publishing's black-and-white magazines, featuring legendary art by Jose Gonzalez.

Gonzalez's Vampirella is the definitive version—sensual, emotive, and beautifully rendered in wash and ink. Modern runs by Dynamite feature covers by J. Scott Campbell and Artgerm that are highly collected. She walks the line between horror host and superheroine.

She often teams up with Red Sonja and Pantha. She fights Dracula and the forces of Chaos. Her art is prized for "Good Girl Art" (GGA) appeal mixed with gothic horror settings.
