Ishikawa Kyuuta was a Japanese manga artist. He made his debut in 1955 in Manga Shōnen and quickly gained recognition, becoming an assistant to Suzuki Mitsuaki and Ushio Souji, with Suzuki's influence being notable in his early style. In 1957, Ishikawa established "Musashino Production." His significant work, Fang King, was published in Weekly Shōnen in 1966. Notably, the acclaimed mangaka Jiro Taniguchi worked as Ishikawa's assistant for five years in the 1960s. Ishikawa also created Super Rose, a manga featuring a magical girl superheroine who is also a ballet student.
