OA 34: Silver Surfer Black 1 variant cover

Completely lucked out on this stunning Silver Surfer piece by Scott Williams. Tripped over this variant online and wondered how I never knew about it, turns out it was an exclusive store variant cover and I quickly found that the OA was for sale on their site! Purchased and it was promptly sent to me directly by Scott Williams. Years later Scott asked me who I bought it from and for how much, because he had heard it was bought and sold a couple times... I told him I never sold it, and never intend to!

Scott's inks are always a joy to stare at but particularly so with this cover. The liquid clean lines of the Surfer coupled with the various inking techniques on display for the space background (taking "Kirby Krackle" to a whole new level) make this piece a true grail!

John Rauch's colors on this piece are also stunning! (First saw John's colors in the pages of Invincible, he colored the cover for Invincible 88, aka "OA 18").
