Just over a year ago, Raremarq founder, Chris Tung, had just his first wave of successful auctions by partnering with Steve Morger of Big Wow Art to auction pieces for Maui Fire charities. Then everything changed, when he got an email from Steve connecting him with legendary comic book artist, Frank Cho.
The email was simple: “Chris Tung meet Frank Cho and Frank meet Chris. Frank wants to start using [Raremarq] to sell some of his stuff.”
After hopping on the phone to get his questions answered, Frank listed his first piece on Raremarq (formerly Nerd Crawler). The listing experience was easy. Getting bids from buyers was effortless, and payouts arrived quickly. Chris and Frank both felt there was something magical here.
A few months later, Frank decided to start listing sketch covers and remarques weekly to raise money to buy a house, and that’s when everything changed.
Not only did these pieces sell, they sold for more than Frank’s usual asking price. Impressed by the results and the platform's creator-first approach, Frank quickly saw Raremarq’s potential. He became a regular seller and soon joined Raremarq as an official advisor. Since then, his pieces have generated impressive sales and fans around the world are able to own an original piece of art from Frank Cho on Raremarq.
Frank has been vocal about his experience, stating in interviews: “Raremarq is the perfect place for me to sell my art. It has changed my life.”
And he’s not alone. Raremarq has earned the trust and admiration of creators across the comic art community. You can read more testimonials on the Raremarq reviews page.
