Nerd Crawler has become the fastest growing marketplace for sketch covers and original art from the world's top creators. And, since joining Nerd Crawler in June, Stanley "Artgerm" Lau has been auctioning some amazing sketch covers including Mary Jane, Dazzler, Ghost Spider, and many more. And, with those amazing pieces, Artgerm has hit some record-high sales.

However, one piece of feedback we've heard is that more fans would love the opportunity to win a sketch cover, but because of the fierce competition, they feel like there's no chance for them to win.

Well, Nerd Crawler was built for collectors and artists alike, and Nerd Crawler and Artgerm have now partnered on a pilot for "Make Me an Offer" -- a first-of-its-kind way for collectors to bid, message, and potentially win original art.

How Does It Work?

Artgerm has listed a Baroness sketch cover and is accepting offers on the piece with a minimum offer of $2,000. To make an offer, just sign into your Nerd Crawler account and click the "Make an Offer" button. There, you'll be able to offer any amount above $2,000 and add a custom message to the offer capped at 200 characters. With your message, you'll have an additional opportunity to share why he should accept your offer over everyone else.

Unlike Auctions on Nerd Crawler,  it's not about the highest bid winning a piece that is accepting offers. Instead, it allows artists to hear directly from their fans, and artists can now get more of their art into the hands of collectors who have supported them through the years.

I'm an artist or seller. Can I use "Make Me an Offer"?

Yes! "Make Me an Offer" is available for our entire community. We think it'll be a great way for sellers to receive offers on pieces where they're more flexibile on pricing.

And, if you're an artist, "Make Me an Offer" is a great way to sell commissions where you can review the commission requests first before accepting.

We also have a short, 1.5 minute video explaining how to use the new "Make Me an Offer" feature, and we can't wait to see what you list.

I'm a buyer. How does "Make Me an Offer" work for me?

As a buyer, you'll be able to make offers on any pieces that are tagged with "Make Me An Offer". You will need to add a default credit card and shipping address to make an offer, and if your offer is accepted, we will send you an email that your offer was accepted, charge your default credit card immediately, and hold your funds in escrow. Once the deal is complete, we'll release your funds to the seller.

If your offer is rejected, you'll receive an email alert saying your offer was rejected. If the seller has not accepted an offer, you can submit more offers, but if the seller accepts an offer, you will not be able to submit any more offers.

Helping artists and collectors -- one line of code at a time.

Launching "Make Me an Offer" is another step toward our mission of allowing of helping artists and collectors buy and sell original comic art. It was built because we saw the feedback from the community, and we always want to do right by you all. So, please email us at [email protected] if you have any feedback on "Make Me an Offer" or if you have more ideas on how we can make Nerd Crawler better.
