Tell us about yourself and what got you interested in drawing
I’ve been interested in drawing and animation since I have memory. From drawing my very first beloved shows like Power Rangers, Saint Seiya and Dragon Ball to being interested in the human body and drawing both realistic and stylized figures. I also have a deep appreciation for the art of trading card games and even attempted to make one myself (still and ongoing personal project). In conclusion, art has always been the most pure way of expressing myself.
Who were some of your early inspirations?
That’s an easy one! Akira Toriyama, Masami Kurumada, Bengus and Jim Lee!
What are some of your favorite projects you’ve worked on?
The Thundercats cover series and being a special pose artist for Batman Azteca for Warner animation.
Favorite character(s) to draw?
Magik, Akuma and Magneto.
What are you currently working on?
The latest thing I did was Sweet Paprika, but I’m mostly drawing covers for Dynamite Comics.
