This week, we're spotlighting the newest comic artist to use our new Shopify app, Auction Now to auction rare and original items straight on her store, the one and only, Chrissie Zullo!

Chrissie made her debut in 2009 with Cinderella: From Fabletown with Love #1 and has since become one of the most recognizable modern cover artists in the industry. Her work has graced the covers of Marvel, DC, Image Comics, and more, captivating fans with every cover she creates.

We’re absolutely honored to be working with Chrissie to give fans the chance to bid on original art and other rare items directly from her.

So without further ado, let’s hear from Chrissie! And don’t forget to check out her very first auction powered by Auction Now, now live at ShopChrissie.com.

Tell us about yourself and what got you interested in drawing.

My name is Chrissie Zullo-Uminga, and I'm a comic book artist primarily creating variant covers for DC, Marvel, Dynamite, and more! Recently, I've created covers for titles including DC's "Zatannic Panic", "Supergirl", "Summer of Superman", Marvel's "Amazing Spider-Man", "Incredible Hulk: Muppets Edition", to name a few.

Who were some of your early inspirations?

I grew up a complete Disney kid and loved the old traditional, hand-drawn animated films. As I got older, I gravitated towards anime and manga, and in college I fell in love with comic books. I think my style is a mix of all the artwork I loved and grew up on, all thrown together, honestly.

What are some of your favorite projects you’ve worked on?

I did a series of Halloween-themed covers for DC called "Trick-or-Treat" variants, that featured characters like Batman and Wonder Woman as kids trick-or-treating. Those were some of my favorite covers to date! I also got to help create statues for DC Direct's "Artist Alley" line, which was an amazing experience to see some of my designs come to life in 3D sculptures.

Favorite character(s) to draw?

My favorite characters are typically any of the strong female characters, really... I love Wonder Woman and Zatanna. But I love to draw animals too, and have been lucky enough to draw a lot of "cat" themed covers for Marvel, as well as many of the Superpets for DC.

What are you currently working on?

I just finished another set of holiday-themed covers for DC that will be coming out February 2026. I'm not sure if I can say what they are just yet, but I'm super excited for these ones!

Where can fans find you?

I am pretty active on Instagram (@chrissiezullo) and Facebook, as well as X, Bluesky, and sometimes YouTube. My main site is ShopChrissie.com, where I am featuring an auction (thanks to you guys at Remarq) right now!
