Tell us about yourself and what got you interested in drawing

Hi everyone! I’m Jeehyung Lee, an artist from Korea. I used to work as an art director at a game company, but I wanted to focus more seriously on my own art, so now I’m working as a freelancer. I create digital comic book covers for the U.S. market, and I also enjoy hand drawing using various traditional art tools.

Who were some of your early inspirations?

I started dreaming of becoming an artist at a relatively late age after seeing game illustrations, so you could say that many game illustrators influenced me early on. Later, the artists who really shaped my direction and inspired me the most were Alphonse Mucha and Adam Hughes. They are still the artists I respect the most.

What are some of your favorite projects you’ve worked on?

Even though I’m no longer working in the game industry, one of the most enjoyable and memorable projects in my life was Marvel Future Fight. It had a big impact on my life, and I’m still grateful for the amazing people I worked with.

Favorite character(s) to draw?

My favorite characters are Brenna and Kalida from GUMAA, which I personally created and designed. They feel like my own children and are characters I’m truly proud of.

What are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on various cover artworks.

What inspired you to start using Raremarq and what are you auctioning?

I was contacted directly by Raremarq. I think it will be a great opportunity to connect with fans.
