Tell us about yourself and what got you interested in drawing
Who were some of your early inspirations?
I know any 90’s girly would shout from the rooftops Naoko Takeuchi! She’s definitely the reason why I’m an artist today! I was also heavily inspired by Lisa Frank and I guess it’s pretty obvious with my use of vibrant colors!
What are some of your favorite projects you’ve worked on?
I think working on my first Magic the Gathering card, Glen Elendra Archmage was definitely an unforgettable work experience for me! Never in my wildest dreams have I ever thought I could make Magic cards! I was also very happy to have done a series of covers for the Batgirls run for DC comics! Girlfriends goofing around and fighting crime is definitely a genre I won’t ever get tired of drawing! I actually also just wrapped up an illustration for a character I’ve always been a fan of and I can’t wait to show that, it’s definitely one of my fave recent projects!
During my free time, I love working on my own project, 90’s Candy Cuties! I hope to one day exhibit it or make an artbook of them.
Favorite character(s) to draw?
I really love drawing Jubilee! She’s such a fun bubbly charcter, and with my colors, I can play around a lot with her sparkly powers!
What are you currently working on?
Right now I’m still working on tons of cards for Marvel Snap! I’m also currently in charge of the Paper Doll variant covers for Green Lantern Corps and I just wrapped up some more covers for Marvel Comics!
I can’t wait to also show the sketch covers I will have available for my RianbowArt April Raremarq event!
Where can fans find you?
I have a website! Definitely feel free to check it out at www.rianbowart.com! I’m pretty much everywhere as @rianbowart on all my socials (Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky)!
See you on the flipside!
