Tell us about yourself
I’m a manga/anime-style artist based in Manila. I've always been passionate about drawing what I love and enjoying the process as much as possible. Early in my career, I explored creating indie comics locally while taking on commissions. Later, I worked for local game companies that developed various genres—casual, anime-style, movie-based games, and more. However, throughout my life, I’ve primarily been a freelancer focusing on commissions. After my time with those companies, I returned to freelancing and began blending my style with comic book characters. As interest grew, I started receiving more commissions featuring Western characters.
In 2020, I was invited to join Next Comic Art, where I was introduced to retailer cover work. I continued doing that alongside commissions. In 2023, Justin Cruz introduced me to C.B. Cebulski, which led to opportunities to work on Marvel covers. Around that time, DC also reached out to offer me cover work on a few occasions.
Who were some of your early inspirations?
I have a lot of inspirations! It's actually hard to pick because my mind is everywhere around colorful and entertaining things whether it be tv, games or comics. My brother and I also loved those cheap local comics that were sold in newsstands, which led to us making our own comics at home. I do believe my style started to shift when I saw really old school anime like, Little Women 2, Flying House, Super Book, Anne of Green Gables, etc and then started another change when I saw Sailor Moon, Yuyu Hakusho and Ranma 1/2.
Where might fans have seen your work?
To be honest, I am not totally sure, but I do have my Instagram and Twitter and I was just continuously uploading anything there since I treat it as my gallery. if it's my cover work, it might be my Black Cat cover from Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 or my retailer variant Spider-Gwen Annual #1 cover!
Favorite character(s) to draw?
I think I am bit of an Final Fantasy fan (not all titles) but, I am definitely a huge fan of FFXIV. If I had the time, I like drawing my own character from that game and sometimes the NPCs related to the story. Most of the characters I like to fanart are from games or what I am currently interested in.
