Raremarq Is Not a Marketplace for AI-Generated Artwork

At Raremarq, our mission has always been clear: to create a trusted marketplace dedicated to authentic, original artwork from real artists.

We believe in celebrating human creativity. The hours of sketching, refining, storytelling, and craftsmanship that go into every original piece. That commitment remains at the core of everything we do.

As artificial intelligence tools become more widespread, we want to be absolutely clear: Raremarq is not a marketplace for AI-generated or AI-referenced artwork.

Our community is built on trust between artists and collectors. Buyers come to Raremarq expecting genuine, hand-created artwork. Artists join Raremarq knowing they’re part of a platform that values skill, originality, and authenticity.

AI-generated images, whether referenced, partially, or fully created using generative tools, do not align with the standards of our marketplace.

To protect the integrity of Raremarq, we are taking additional steps to enforce this policy.

Introducing Raremarq’s Internal AI Moderation System

Raremarq has implemented a new internal moderation system designed to identify and flag listings that appear to be AI-generated.

When a listing is flagged:

• A Raremarq team member is immediately alerted.

• The listing is manually reviewed.

• Appropriate action is taken based on our marketplace guidelines.

This allows us to proactively monitor the platform while maintaining fairness and due diligence.

Enforcement Policy

If a listing is determined to be AI-generated:

• Raremarq reserves the right to delete the listing immediately.

• All impacted parties–bidders, buyers, and sellers–will be notified immediately that the listing was removed as it did not align with our content policies. 

• If needed, full refunds will be issued to the impacted buyers.

If a user continues to list AI-generated images after being flagged:

• Raremarq reserves the right to freeze the user’s account.

• Raremarq reserves the right to permanently delete the user’s account.

These measures are not taken lightly. However, maintaining the integrity of the marketplace is non-negotiable.

We Need the Community’s Help

Raremarq is strongest when the community participates in protecting it.

If you suspect a listing may be AI-generated, please use the “Report This Listing” button found on every Raremarq listing page.

Each report is reviewed by our team. Your vigilance helps us protect real artists and maintain trust across the platform.
