Carnage Original Art - Page 2

The offspring of Venom, bonded to serial killer Cletus Kasady. Carnage is pure 90s excess—red, tendril-heavy, and chaotic. He is stronger and deadlier than Venom, and his art reflects that intensity. Unlike the smooth black costume of Venom, Carnage is a mess of fluid lines and gore-like textures, pushing the boundaries of what could be shown in a code-approved comic.

The characters is synonymous with Mark Bagley, who drew his first appearances and the Maximum Carnage event. That event is the peak for Carnage collectors. Modern interpretations by artists like Clayton Crain often use digital painting to emphasize the slimy, alien nature of the symbiote. Because he can form weapons out of his hands, art often features axes and spikes, making for aggressive imagery.

Carnage exists to kill Spider-Man and Venom. In fact, he is so dangerous that Spidey and Venom often have to team up to stop him. He also has a "family" of sorts, including his bride Shriek and his offspring Toxin.
