Shi'ar Original Art

The Shi'ar are one of the three great alien empires (with Kree and Skrull). They are avian-descended humanoids (feathers for hair). Ruled by the Majestrix (like Lilandra), they control the Imperial Guard (super-powered legion).

They are often allies of the X-Men but their rigid adherence to duty causes conflict. The M'Kraan Crystal (nexus of realities) is in their territory. Artists depict their tech as organic and sleek. The Imperial Guard, led by Gladiator, is a deliberate homage to DC's Legion of Super-Heroes.
