Suicide Squad Original Art - Page 13

Task Force X, better known as the Suicide Squad, is a team of supervillains forced to run black ops missions for the government. The concept allows for a rotating cast of C-list villains who can actually die, raising the stakes in every issue. Art for the Squad is gritty, violent, and chaotic. John Ostrander and Luke McDonnell created the definitive 80s run.

Modern iterations heavily feature Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and King Shark. Collectors love group shots of the team, especially knowing that half of them might not survive the mission. Amanda Waller, the team's handler, is a powerful presence in the art, often shown monitoring screens.

They often clash with the Justice League or infiltrate foreign dictatorships. The "neck bomb" plot device adds a layer of tension to every panel.
