Walter Original Art

Walter is the terrifying, mute henchman of the Mob in The Mask comics. He is a juggernaut—massive, unfeeling, and seemingly indestructible. He is one of the few characterss who can stand toe-to-toe with Big Head physically. Visually, he is a wall of muscle, often drawn with a flat expression and small glasses.

Doug Mahnke drew Walter as an implacable force. He doesn't feel pain. Scenes of him taking shotgun blasts and keeping coming are iconic. He eventually retrieves the Mask for his boss.

He is the arch-nemesis of the Mask wearer. He represents the brutal reality of crime versus the cartoon fantasy of the Mask.
